Christina Gill-Lindsey, Certified Grief Educator

Dear Fellow Grievers,

I’m thankful you’ve found this site, and I'm sorry if the reason is a heavy one. Grief can be brutal. Losing someone we love forces us to live through complex heartbreak. This journey can be overwhelming , yet many of us learn to live life in new ways. Ways that include the love we  carry forever for our cherished beloveds.

Having lost my daughter and parents, I survived by surrounding myself with support. When I was newly bereaved, I clung to any thread I could find. With my daughter’s death, I quickly discovered that much of that support came from other bereaved parents. I think it always will.

My grief journey continues as a lifelong process. Especially with the loss of my daughter, Dana, in January, 2021. As for many, the grief of losing a child lives just under the surface of my skin, in the background of all I do, and sometimes front and center of my day. It has grown to be a familiar companion no longer drowning me. Of course, there will always be an element of sadness, but I am finding new ways to swim and float (even with joy and gratitude).

Life has given me the gifts of being a teacher, mental health professional, and certified grief educator. I naturally feel called to help others find their way on “the path.” I combine personal experience, knowledge, and skills that continue to guide me as I live with my loved ones’ absences. My hope is that you will find comfort and affirmation from my words along with hope and insights.

I offer supportive information through my  Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest pages.  You can reach me with any thoughts, ideas, or questions you may have on my Contact page .

Holding you all in my heart,

Chris
